Description
02/10/26 - For sale is a scarce Winchester Model 12 Trench gun that was overhauled at the Augusta Arsenal after the War. Model 12 trench guns were observed in the serial range of 940,000 to 1,036,000. This example was built towards the very end of the run. The metal has a bright re-arsenal parkerized finish with light surface scratches. There is some shallow pitting visible on the receiver under the finish. The stock and forend are in great shape with light surface scratches. Shows signs of being sanded, so we aren't sure if it's from a prior owner or the arsenal. The boxed WB stamp and the AA for Augusta Arsenal are visible on theleft side. The bore is bright with light fouling that should clean up. The barrel is markd CYL with the flaming bomb on top. Right side of the receiver is stamped with the U.S. Flaming bomb.
