04/08/26 - For sale is a German Marked Portuguese Contract Model 1937b Mauser chambered in 8x57. These rifles were originally made by Mauser Oberndorf and were meant to be sold to Portugal. Many of these rifles would be diverted and acquired by the German Army during WW2. The rifle is in immaculate condition with very minimal wear. There are some dotting fo finnish loss and some light storage handling wear marks. The bluing on the metal is excellent, and the stock stamps are sharp. There are Eagle/135 stamps throughout the rifle. The bore is like new and is mirror bright. The rifle has matching numbers throughout, down to the action screws. The rifle also has its original matching bayonet in equally excellent condition. Some light finish wear on the blade from the scabbard. The scabbard also has the matching last 2 of the serieal stamped.
