3/18/26 - This is a remarkably clean example of a US military issued Colt Model 1911, issued in 1918 during the last year of the Great War. Proper features, including disconnected 'P H' barrel and 'H' marked slide. Markings are crisp and the bluing is fantastic, with the pistol retaining about 96-97% of its finish. There is wear on the high edges of the slide/frame, and around the muzzle. Small runner mark on the underside of the front of the slide. Mild thinning and a touch of oxidation on the grip straps, a few small scattered handling marks on the slide, and a tiny takedown scratch. There are hints of surface oxidation on the top of the slide. Bore is decently shiny with good rifling, but has visible oxidation throughout. Fitted with an excellent set of wood grips with no chips cracks, or signs of repair. Comes with one proper two-tone original magazine. Excellent mechanics.
