SOLD - Gorgeous, Early SA Dagger with Hangers - SMF

10/27/25 - This is a rare, early SA Dagger by SMF (Solinger Metallwarenfabrik Stoecker & Co) with original scabbard and hangers. The blade is in exceptionally clean condition, with crisp markings, immaculate edge profile, and factory crossgrain retained throughout. There are mild runners marks, but no signs of use or sharpening. The crossguard metal is in excellent shape as well, with just a couple light handling marks here and there. The handle is also in excellent condition, with just a few minor dings here and there. All emblems and fittings are perfectly tight, and wood retains a beautiful glossy hue. Crossguard is group marked, “Ns” for Niedersachsen. the scabbard is in great condition, free of dents and the paint is virtually all retained, though there is fading, surface scuffs, and very light surface oxidation throughout. The dagger includes both of its very rare original leather hangers, which are stamped "M5/117", which refers to uniform supplier Berg & Nolte AG, Löningenscheid.
