SOLD - Hitler Youth Proficiency Badges

9/18/25- For sale are a selection of Hitler Youth proficiency badges.

The centerpiece of the set is a Hitler Youth Leader's Sports Badge in Gold, awarded only to the highest achieving Hitler Youth officers. Only around 10,000 were ever issued and this one is numbered 4254. The badge is large and heavy and has the RZM M 1/101 mark. The badge is made from copper or brass and is gilded. The attachment pin on the back is present and functional. There is minor wear and patina but it is in overall very good condition. Also included is a miniature of the gold badge, intended for wear on a shirt or jacket lapel. It is not numbered but has the same RZM manufacturer code. Also has patina but no serious damage, overall very good condition.

Also included in the collection is a Hitler Youth Proficiency Badge in silver, awarded to 17 year olds in the program. The badge was awarded to Hitler Youth members who passed a sports test covering athletics, field craft and basic political knowledge. It is not numbered but has the RZM stamp and a M 1/34 manufacturer code. The attachment pin is present and functional. The piece has light wear and patina but is in overall very good condition. 

The final item is a 1943 dated sports badge. These badges were awarded for sports achievement in a given year's competitions. This badge is very thin stamped steel and is dark, without the silver or gold coloring of earlier badges, indicating later war production. There are no scratches or serious damage but the badge is dark without any coloring. The attachment pin is present and functional. Overall good condition.
