Description
8/5/25 - This is a very nice example of an Italian Beretta Model 1935, manufactured in 1942 and chambered in 7.65mm. All matching with a "CP" marking on the left side of the tang. We believe this indicates it was issued to the Italian Navy. It comes fitted with a set of custom set of "joker" acrylic grips - we assume they were swapped by the American GI who captured it, Theebie Greer. Our consignor was able to find this vet's obituary and a photo of his head stone. It also comes with an original capture document that names Theebie and lists this gun by serial number. The gun has retained about 93% of its original high polish bluing. The majority of the wear comes in the form of light spotty wear on the left side of the slide. The bore shows minor pitting throughout. The hold-open does not work properly with this magazine.
