Description

3/6/26- For sale is a very nice Winchester M1917 bayonet, correct for pairing with a Winchester trench shotgun. This bayonet does not have the cancelled British proofs so it was made under a US wartime contract and has the circled W for Winchester production. The blade is nicely parkerized with a blued base, a correct finish pattern for this model and manufacture. There is very light wear to the blade and no serious damage. The blade is sharp but the edge is still finished, meaning it must be factory sharpening. There is some wear to the wooden handle but no deep scrapes or cracking. The scabbard is the appropriate leather lined pattern from the WWI era with metal fittings and belt hook. Overall in excellent condition.
