Description
7/10/25 - This is a mint example of a modern Italian remake of the original Colt Texas Paterson revolver. Made by F.LLI Pietta. Chambered in .36 Caliber with a 9 inch barrel. This is black powder only, so no FFL required. The Colt Paterson, also known as the Texas Paterson, was the first commercially successful revolver, patented by Samuel Colt in 1836. It was produced in Paterson, New Jersey, hence the name. While not Colt's first firearm, the Paterson's adoption by figures like Colonel John Hays and Captain Samuel Walker of the Texas Rangers was a pivotal moment for Colt's success. This one has a bright blue finish for the most part with a plum-colored frame. Nice stage coach scene on the cylinder. The gun shows almost no signs of wear or use - just a few tiny surface marks here and there. Mint bore. Fully functional. It comes with a wood presentation case (crack in the lid), bullet mold, screwdriver multi-tool, and powder horn.
