Description
8/5/25 - This is a mint example of a rare Dreyse Model 1907 stamped with RFV No3389 manufactured in the 1920's for the REICHSFINANZ-VERWALTUNG - Reich Finance Administration - which was subordinate to the Reich Finance Ministry during the Weimar Republic. The pistol was issued to Customs House Officers - both mounted on horses and on foot. (This pistol had nothing to do with the RFV under the Third Reich.) Out of over 100 Dreyse 1907s listed on page 184 of the Central Powers Pistols book, only 5 are RFV marked. The pistol has all matching numbers and has the proper Crown /N test proofs. It comes with one original matching-numbered magazine. It has retained nearly all of its bluing with just a hint of muzzle wear. Fitted with period-correct grips - small bore holes on the left side. Nice bore, but the rifling is slightly worn.
