Description
11/14/25- For sale is a very rare Nazi Party Golden Party Badge. The Golden Party Badge was first issued in late 1933 as an award for the first 100,000 members of the Nazi Party. The 100,000th party member joined in October 1928, so these badges were for long serving and presumably dedicated Nazis. Roughly 22,000 badges were issued based on these criteria, in addition to other ceremonial awards granted personally by Hitler. This badge is of the smaller 24mm size, intended for wear on a civilian suit jacket. There is some damage and loss of enameling to the front of the badge, particularly in the white center and the upper and right arms of the swastika. However, the damage reveals the gold wire frame of the emblem and indicates that it is constructed of layered enamel, not paint, a strong clue as to the item's authenticity. The center emblem is also visibly a separate piece from the golden wreath, another clue to authenticity. On the back, the pin mounting is stamped with "Jos. Fuess Munchen", one of the two known makers of the badges. The party number is 64,689. The attachment pin on the back is broken. Overall in very good condition.
