Description
11/17/25 - For sale is an Amberg Model 1871 Mauser made in 1881. The rifle is chambered in 11mm Mauser. The barrel has an aged bluing fading to a darker grey. The stock appears to have been lightly sanded but in great shape overall. The proofs are still visible but are shallow. The bore is bright with strong rifling. The rifle has matching numbers throughout down to the action screws. The bayonet is in great shape for its age. The blade is darkening from oxidation with speckling of shallow pitting. Blade has an old edge. The blade is stamped F.A.Hermes. The grips have oxidation but great shape overall. The scabbard is in good shape without any tears. Many creases in the leather from drying out.
