Description

6/17/25 - For sale is a Portuguese Model 1904/39  Mauser Vergueiro chambered in 8mm Mauser made by DWM. These rifles were originally chambered in 6.5x58 but was converted in 1939 to the more modern 8mm Mauser cartridge. The rifle has a nice blued finish throughout. The stock is in great shape with minor handling marks but no racks or breaks. The bore is bright with strong rifling. There is notable pitting on the bottom of the barrel above the bayonet lug. The rifle has matching numbers on the receiver, bolt handle, trigger guard, magazine floor, and stock. The rear cocking piece and the safety flag are mismatched. There is an import mark on the barrel.
