Description
02/24/26 - For sale is a Springfield M1 Garand made in the Autumn of 1943. The rifle has a nice darkened parkerized finish with some light discoloration from patina. The stock is smooth having been lightly sanded. The stock doesn't have any cracks or breaks. There is an anomaly on the stock where the SA/GAW inspection stamp is sidways which we have never seen before, nor have the people who are more knowledgeable that we had contacted. The dimensions and letters look correct, but we cannot confirm it was done after the fact. The ordnance wheel is the proper .437" diameter size. The upper handguard is a replacement with a rack number. The bore is bright with strong rifling. The muzzle erosion rating is 1.5 and throat erosion is 2. The rifle is nearly parts correct (apart from the stock anomaly), but the safety is from an earlier variation, and the follower is should be marked 11.
