Description

03/19/26 - For sale is a nice Springfield Trapdoor rifle originally made in 1879 but has been rebuilt as a Model 1884 with a ramrod bayonet. The metal has aged to a dark grey bluing with some areas worn to bare metal and patina. The trapdoor has a hint of the case coloring remaining but mostly faded away. The stock is in great shape with light surface dings. Left side is stamped with the SWP inspector stamp, dated 1891. There is a rack number "71" on the right side. The bore is bright with strong rifling, slight darkening towards the muzzle.
