Description
8/14/25 - This is an excellent example of an all original, unaltered 1908 DWM Bulgarian contract Luger pistol. There were exactly 10,000 of these pistols ordered by Bulgaria in the 1908-10 time frame. These saw heavy use in both WWI and WW2; having been rebuilt at least once or twice by DWM. After WW2 most of them were captured by the Russians. The chamber is marked with the DWM scroll monogram but does not have a Bulgarian Crest on top of the front toggle, there is a second DWM logo there. The right side of the barrel extension is stamped with a single "Bulgarian Rampant Lion" acceptance/proof mark with no other acceptance proofs. The lower safety lever area is marked "FIRE" and the left side of the extractor is marked "LOADED" both in Cyrillic lettering. This one has been re-blued, and the following parts are mismatched: side plate, rear toggle pin, and both toggle links. Fitted with matching-numbered wood grips and comes with a mismatched WW2-era magazine. Minty bore.
