Description
2/11/26 - This is an excellent example of a rare Walther Mod P.38 sold in the commercial market during WW2. This one is all matching and has the proper "Eagle N" proofs. This gun is rare as only 1,800 were produced. It has retained about 95% of its original finish with very minor muzzle / high edge wear and an area of wear along the right side of the slide. Tiny dots of discoloration along both sides of the slide. The finish has a nice plum-colored tint to it (photos don't really do it a justice). Fitted with excellent reddish bakelite grips. Comes with a period-correct P.38 magazine that is not marked. Mint bore. De-cocker is functional. The front strap has the characteristic casting flaw on the front strap that we see with all of these.
