Description
1/16/26- For sale is a rare P38 holster made by the Polish manufacturer LYO. LYO indicated manufacture by Kromolowski, based around Radom, Poland. This manufacturer is known to have relied on German prisoner labor, including Soviet POWs and other populations in German camps in Poland. There is expected wear and scuffing on the leather but no serious damage. Late-war rush in production and usage of forced labor often means that lyo holsters are generally is somewhat lower condition than other examples from professional German factories earlier in the war but the increased rarity makes up for it. The back of the holster is stamped with the P38 model designation, the lyo manufacturer stamp, and a WaffenAmt WaA 77 eagle. All stitching is tight and intact. The belt loops and front strap are intact and functional. The top flap is slightly flexible and has not entirely retained the "hardshell" solid shape. Overall in very good condition.
