Description
1/19/26 - This is an original example of a rare Mauser P.38 from 1945 with 'svw 45' marked slide. One of only ~7,800 dual-tone examples produced and completed for the German military. All matching and original, this pistol retains about 90% of its factory finish. The phosphate finish is commonly discolored or "splotchy" on these dual-tone P.38s, and this one is no different. Most pronounced patina and discoloration is on the front strap. There is also high edge wear on the slide and muzzle. Strong, shiny bore with only minor frost. Good mechanically, including the de-cocker. Late-war mag marked 'P.38v' over 'U'. Very nice, original grips with only minor scuffs and scratches.
