Description
8/14/25 - This is an original WW2 Type 30 bayonet made in the Toyokawa Kosho Naval Arsenal. Often referred to as the "rocking star" due to the arsenal stamp of a star within a cradle. This bayonet features a bright fullered blade, a blunt blade edge, contoured wood grips with two screws and a kanji marking on the handle, hooked cross guard, and a bird's head pommel. These are a fairly unusual variation because they lack an inspector proof stamp and serial number on the pommel. Many consider these to be training bayonets as a result with the blunted blade edge. This example has most of the finish intact on the pommel and hand guard, and there's no rust or pitting. The wood grips have no notable issues. The blade is in great overall condition with a deep dark maker stamp. Comes with a ball-tipped metal scabbard that's missing finish in various areas over its body. The scabbard finish probably rates around 50%. There's a few small dings and dents in the metal along the front rounded edge, but this doesn't affect fit or functionality.
