3/27/26 - This is an excellent condition example of a rarely encountered high polish, (denoted as 'Poliert' on the box label) 1968 commercial Walther P.38, chambered in 9mm. The production range on these scarce, high-polished examples overlaps with the far more common matte-black phosphated finish. Featuring typical post-war aluminum frame, this example comes with its original matching numbered box, cleaning rod, and two total magazines. The pistol has one notable modification, the front sight has been replaced, with the replacement fitting rather crudely. Aside from that issue, this pistol is in phenomenal condition, retaining nearly all of its finish, with one small spot of wear on the top of the slide and a couple scratches from the sight replacement at the top of the barrel, and some scattered micro scratches along the slide Mint bore and grips.
