Description
6/30/25 - This is a very nice example of a scarce Mauser Model 1914 pistol that is Imperial marked and has a scarce "Prussian Eagle" trigger guard marking. This is a variation 3 example, described on pg. 257 of Jan Still's "Central Powers Pistols" book. This particular example is all matching and has retained about 90% of its original finish. There is general high edge wear, muzzle wear, and some thinning with spotty patina on the front strap. Fitted with a period-correct wood grip (the checkering is a bit worn) and comes with a proper magazine. The rifling in the bore is a bit worn with tiny pitting throughout. The front sight has a bit of yellow paint on it.
