Description
12/11/25 - For sale is a French Mle 1936 made by St Etienne (MAS) in 1939. The black enamel paint normally used on the prewar rifles has worn to a grey color with areas worn with a layer of patina, mainly on the magazine floor. There are freckling of old oxidation throughout the rifle. The stock is smooth and worn but in great shape. The Roundel on the right side is still visible. Bore is bright with strong rifling, but there is a slight frosting over the shiny finish. The rifle has matching numbers on the receiver, bolt, stock, and forend. The trigger guard and magazine floor are mismatched. The Bayonet is unnumbered but is an early variant with the vertical checkering. There is a red paint in the creavcises towards the point.
