Description
9/25/25 - This is an ultra rare Walther PPK that was issued to the Waffen SS, and is identified to Ernst Funk, by serialized ID card. This is a variation 2 example, with matching serial number on the muzzle, and one of only a handful we've ever encountered that are named to a specific SS officer. While many ID cards were located and recorded in Stepan's PPK book, the actual pistol associated with these cards is nearly impossible to find. An image of the ID card is included in the listing, though we do not have the actual card. The pistol is all correct and original, with 92-93% of the high-polish blue remaining. The vast majority of finish loss is visible on either side of the muzzle, though more pronounced on the left side of the slide. Nice grip but it does have two small cracks in it. Excellent finger extension magazine, correctly marked with only the Walther banner. The magazine is serialized and in the correct serial range, but is mismatched to this pistol by about 60 digits. Strong, shiny bore.
