3/31/26- For sale is a very rare British WW2 gravity knife made by George Ibberson. These knives were a copy of the famous German gravity knife and were made by Ibberson is very small numbers and issued to British commando units like the SAS. The exact numbers made are unknown but it is likely around 1500, making this an extremely rare piece of WW2 history. The blade has significant wear and grinding. About half of the maker mark is visible, including "...berson & Co.", "Eng.", and "2194", the last of which was part of the inventory or contract number. The blade has been sharpened. The guard and metal fittings have some patina and wear. The side of the casing underneath the spike is numbered 108. The black checkered grips have some wear and smoothness in some spots. The blade extends and retracts properly. Overall in good condition and a very rare find!
