Description
10/13/25 - This is an example of an early type I Walther Model 9. The Serial numbers for the Model 9 started at 410000, so this pistol is a Type I and was likely made in the first year of production (1921). The finish rates about 95-96% with general high edge wear, and finish loss towards the muzzle on both sides of the slide, more pronounced on the right side. There is also a small area of discoloration on left side of the slide at the muzzle end, and a couple spots of finish loss farther back on the slide above the safety lever. Some very mild thinning on the front strap. Fitted with the proper black bakelite grips which display the caliber and Walther logo medallions. The grips are in great overall condition aside from a crack in the left panel. Comes with a Walther banner marked magazine. The bore is bright with strong rifling, but shows very minor pitting throughout.
