Description
02/03/26 - For sale is a Winchester Model 1897 shotgun converted into a Trench gun configuration by a prior owner and not an original. The receiver has an aged bluing with patina surrounding the edges. The barrel retains a nice bluing but is turning a light grey with age. The stock has been sanded and a boxed WB was added. The bore is bright but there is residue buildup towards the muzzle. The heatshield is a reproduction. The US and Flaming bomb stamps are not legitimate on the receiver and barrel. The serial number falls outside known Trench gun contracts. The package comes with a Remington P14 Bayonet thats had the British Marks canceled out. A "US" stamp was added. 25 shells of 12 gauge ammo on a bandolier.
