Description
12/10/25 - Original and excellent example of the U.S. Model 1917 bayonet, designed for use with the M1917 Enfield rifle. Manufactured by Remington during World War 1. The blade is in great condition, retaining its original factory-sharpened edge and sharp point. The ricasso is stamped with “1917” and the Remington logo. On the reverse side, the blade bears the U.S. ordnance stamp and flaming bomb emblem. A bend test “X” stamp is visible, indicating inspection. The wood grips are secure with one minor chip on the left grip near the pommel, however, the grips are tight a secure. The release mechanism functions properly. The leather scabbard is intact with secure stitching on the rear seam. Maker stamped on the back, although somewhat faint.
