Description

2/10/26- For sale is a WWI era ersatz 98/05 sawback bayonet. Ersatz bayonets were quickly made and deployed in the early years of WWI to equip the large numbers of new troops. There is some patina on the blade but no edge chips or spots of rust. There appears to be a very small "B" manufacturer mark on the blade. The crossguard and handle are also made from bare metal and show the same level of patina but again no serious damage or rust. The scabbard is metal and shows a mix of paint, wear, and patina. Overall in good condition.
