Description
9/15/25- For sale is a rare WWI Iron Cross with a 1939 award clasp. A soldier who won the Iron Cross in World War One could be awarded the 1939 Nazi eagle clasp if they qualified for the Iron Cross again in WWII, establishing them as a distinguished soldier in both world wars. The 1914 Iron Cross is a second class and the clasp is affixed to the ribbon. There is minor wear and patina, including what seems to be a glue spot on the back of the ribbon to hold it to a uniform or where the mounting pin was removed. Overall no serious damage, very good condition.
