Description
3/16/26 - This is an excellent example of an original and ultra rare Mauser C96 that was part of a small Persian contract order. Manufactured in 1910 in a 1,000 piece lot running through serial number 154000-154999, the Persian Contract Mauser is distinguished by the present of a small "rising sun" stamp on the left side of the barrel extension and a Persian crest (a lion wielding a scimitar, with a sun rising from its back and a crown above) on the milled panel on the left side of the frame. This one is all matching and has retained about 95-96% of its original bluing with just minor high edge wear. Fitted with excellent matching-numbered grips. The bore has pretty good rifling, but there is very light pin-pricking throughout. It comes with a wood stock, but it is not numbered. There are two noticeable cracks, and the lid does not close with the gun in it.
