Description
5/8/25 - This is a very rare and near-mint H&R Reising Model 60 semiautomatic rifle. This rifle was the semiautomatic variant of the Model 50, and were typically used by the Marines for training, guard duty and other non-combat roles. This variant was only manufactured from 1941-1945, and given the early serial number of this rifle, was likely produced towards the front of that range. There were only about 3,000 of this model produced during the war, compared to over 120,000 of the submachine guns. And of that production number, fewer than 800 were blued such as this one, making it especially desirable. This rifle is near-mint, with only a spot of finish loss on the top of the barrel. I'd rate the original bluing at about 98%. The stock has standard dings and nicks but is excellent overall. Bore is shiny with strong rifling. Comes with an original sling.
