Description
3/20/26- For sale is a WW2 German silver wound badge. The badge was awarded to soldiers who were injured at least three times by hostile action during WW2. The coloring has darkened to a grayish color roughly between silver and black but while silver finish would darken, a black painted badge would stay dark, so this is most likely a silver wound badge. The construction is also solid and non-magnetic, indicating a washed zinc rather than stamped steel like the black badges. There is patina but no serious damage. The attachment pin on the back is intact and functional. The back is marked with the 127 manufacturer mark, a known maker. Overall in very good condition.
