WWI German Canteen with Cover

10/13/25- For sale is a German WWI canteen with the original cork and cloth cover. These were the canteens issued to all German soldiers and thirsty soldiers would have called it their most important piece of equipment, even more important than a rifle or helmet. This canteen is a very nice example because it still has the canvas cover, leather straps, and cork. There are some noticeable holes and tears in the canvas cover, about 7 smaller holes and then one larger hole about two inches by one at the bottom. There is also a stamp on the cover. The cork and leather harness are present and in very good condition. The light blue enameled lip of the canteen looks very nice. Overall in very good condition.
