Description

2/13/26- For sale is a pair of German WWI pilot's shoulder boards. The rank insignia indicates a rank roughly comparable to a first lieutenant in English-speaking forces. The shoulder boards are made of a stiff backing with a striped graying-blue top layer. The star/diamond emblem is an indication of rank and the wings and propellor indicate membership in the air services. The shoulder boards are generally intact with little evidence of fraying, tears, or major discoloration. The flat ends of the boards are very rough, almost as if they were torn or cut off or were simply left unfinished on the ends not intended to be seen. Overall in very good condition.
