SOLD - 1944 Matching K98 Bayonet (011425-11 - AB)

Description

1/16/25 - This 1944 K98 bayonet, manufactured by E. & F. Horster & Co. which used the code "ASW" as marked on this blade and scabbard. The blade on this bayonet is missing its original finish, and has been sharpened. However, the markings near the hilt of this bayonet are still strong and easily legible. With one side marked "44 ASW" and the the other being the serial number "1854c". The guard and pommel on this bayonet are in good condition but do have spots of oxidation. The pommel is waffen marked with the proper "WaA519". The scabbard on this bayonet is also marked on both sides. With one side marked "44 ASW" and the the other being the serial number "1854c". The scabbard is in great condition maintaining almost all of its original finish with only minor areas of oxidation. The scabbard is also waffen stamped on the ball point with "WaA519".
