Description

1/17/23 - This is an original WW2 era production Chilean Mauser K98 bayonet. The bayonet comes with an original matching numbered scabbard. The blade is excellent and clean with visible cross-graining throughout. Chilean proof and arsenal proof stamped on one side of the ricasso, and maker stamped on the other. These were made by Germany for Chilean use. There's mild surface wear and finish loss throughout the hand guard and pommel, but no rust or pitting. Excellent wood grips. The scabbard has no dents but there's surface patina and finish loss throughout. Very nice matching example.
