SOLD - DZL Dienstglas 6x30 Binoculars - Eastern Front

1/20/23 - This is an original pair of Dienstglas 6x30 binoculars made by DZL for the Eastern front. The binoculars feature a plus sign, triangle, and circle near the maker stamp, with both the circle and triangle being colored blue for treated mercury. This was to withstand the Russian winters without the chemicals freezing. The binoculars have some edge wear and finish loss on the metal exterior, as well as some mild chipping in the textured grip area. The adjustment knobs are fully functional and the optics are crisp and clear, although there is some mild specks of dirt and dust. This pair of binoculars comes with an original bakelite lens cover and bakelite case, as shown. The leather carry straps are worn with age but completely intact. The name "RICH" is scratched into the bakelite lens cover on both sides. The bakelite case is missing the back leather straps, but is generally in very good condition despite having some mild cracking on the base.
