SOLD - Rare Commercial Luger Holster (012822-9)

Description

2/1/22 - This is a rare police style Luger holster with no markings or stamps, thereby making it a "commercial" holster. The steel closure knob and black leather both point to WW2 era production. This holster is a bit of a head-scratcher for a number of reasons. First, you'll notice there is no tool pouch on the interior leather. Second, there's no front loop on the lid (as typically found on police style luger holsters). Third, the only stamp or marking on the entire holster is a faint ink stamp on the interior leather. The last word we can decipher as "Zeitz". One guess is that this holster was issued to security detail of some kind, and made from leftover materials pre-war. Also worth noting on this holster is the stitching along the left side appears to be some sort of plastic thread material - likely a post-factory repair. Price reduced accordingly.
