Description
1/30/25 - This is a really good example of a 1942 production US M1 Garand bayonet with an original scabbard. The bayonet is a M1905 with a 16 inch blade originally made for use with M1 Garands and M1903 Rifles during 1942 and 1943. After May of 1943, the specification changed to have a 10 inch blade, and most M1905 bayonets were cut down to this length. This bayonet is uncut, making it somewhat rare and desirable. The blade on this bayonet still has some of its original finish present but does have finish loss throughout. The blade has been lightly sharpened. The blade is stamped on one side with U. C. as well as the flaming bomb and the 1942 date. The opposite side of the blade is stamped with the cross cannons ordinance mark, this mark has worn down with age. The original scabbard is in great condition as well.Specifications
