SOLD - WW1 Remington M1917 Bayonet

2/4/25 - This is an great example of a Remington M1913 bayonet from WW1. The bayonet blade is in great condition. The edge shows some signs of possibly being lightly sharpened. The ricasso is US stamped with a flaming bomb and eagle head on one side, and Remington 1917 stamped on the other side. The hand guard and pommel have some spotty surface patina. The wood grips have no cracks. Comes with an American style scabbard. The M1917 bayonet is one of the longest serving bayonets of the U.S. military. Serving from WW1 all the way to the Vietnam War, with some even being used in the early 2000's with the M1200 Shotgun of the U.S. Military. This particular bayonet is from WW1, these bayonets were designed for the M1917 Rifle, as well as the Trench guns. Post WW1 they continued to be used for trench guns (Shotguns).
