Description
2/11/25 - This is a Rare WW2 Japanese Type 97 Flare Pistol. This pistol was made by the Kawaguchiya Firearms Company (KFC), and uses 28mm flares. This example is what is referred to as a first series. KFC made very few of these first variants, only an estimated 200-400. These flare pistols were adopted and used by the Japanese Imperial Navy. This example is in good condition but does have pin pricking and signs of oxidation throughout. This is very common for Imperial Japanese Navy items as they were subjected to exposure of sea water. This particular example is still fully functional and comes with a spent flare, as pictured.Specifications
