2/6/25 - This is a great example of a WW2 German General Assault badge. This badge is in great overall condition, with the majority of its original finish still present. This example is an unmarked version, so we are unable to confirm who the maker is of this badge. The General Assault Badge was instituted on June 1st 1940. It was awarded to those German Army, Waffen-SS or Ordnungspolizei personnel who supported an infantry attack, but were not part of a specific infantry unit. This badge comes with a paper medal envelope, however this paper envelope is not for the General Assault badge, but is instead for the Ostmark Medal.
