Description
2/20/25 - This is good example of a hard shell style P.38 holster from WW2. This holster is "lyo" maker stamped, which is a Polish factory maker stamp. The maker stamp along with the waffen military proof, and P.38 stamp are all found on the back leather. There's some speculation amongst collectors, but the general consensus is that these LYO holsters were made in work camps under slave labor at the end of the war. These holsters are often found dilapidated and in poor condition as a result. This holster is no exception, having thin leather that's soft and pliable throughout. There are two tears in the leather, one in the flap caused by the toe of the magazine, and one on the bottom of the magazine pouch. This holster also has scratches, light cracking and wrinkles throughout. The holster's left strap has what appears to be a period repair where it's been replaced by a pebble grain strap. This holster comes with a jvd and WaA706 marked P.38 magazine. This magazine is in great condition with minor finish loss from use and age. The spring on this magazine is still strong and functional.Specifications
