Description

2/17/23 - This is an original WW1 full Artillery Luger rig with the holster, straps, and stock. The holster is maker-marked "Sattler Innung Eisleben" and 1915 dated under the closure strap. The leather shows considerable signs of wear and wrinkling. The closure strap is intact but much of the leather is cracking, especially on the exterior surface. The lid from the side pouch for the cleaning rod is ripped through the closure hole but the lid is still fully attached to the holster. There appears to be no stitching issues except for the right strap loop where the stitches are missing on one side. However, this does not affect functionality. The luger tool pouch on the interior of the holster is missing the lid. There are also some handwritten numbers on the interior of the holster lid. The leather straps are in great shape and completely intact with some wrinkling throughout but no signs of cracking. The boot cup is in great condition and fully attached to the stock. The stock wood shows mild signs of wear but no cracks or dents. There are two circular repairs on the interior (holster-facing) side of the stock. The wood color matches, and there's a laminate finish on the wood (and repairs) which indicates this is an older, period repair. There is no stamp or markings on the stock. The metal condition and fire-blued release lever on the stock lug both indicate WW1 era production.
