SOLD - WW2 M38A2 Sherman Tank Scope with Mount

5/7/24 - This is an original WW2 production M38A2 Sherman Tank Scope. The M38A2 scopes were made during 1944-1945 and are famously used as a model for the Storm Troopers "blaster rifle scopes" in the original Star Wars films. This example is in great overall condition with mild surface wear on the exterior. All original visible markings such as "Coated Optics", model designation, and a serial number on the underside (though this marking is partially covered by the mount). The optics come on a mount, as shown, which is also in great condition. The optics are clear with mild cloudiness due to natural aging, we rate around 90% overall (great overall condition). The reticle is very faint and only somewhat visible. Measures about 13.3cm long.
