Description
10/15/24 - This is a good example of a M1941 Johnson bayonet with its leather sheath. The bayonet itself is in good shape and maintains most of it's original finish, with finish loss occurring on the high spots. Interestingly, this Johnson bayonet retains a rough forged finish that was parkerized. The bayonet is marked on the flat part with an "A" and the numbers "4195", the barrel ring is also marked "2461". The leather sheath is in good condition and is still functional and pliable. The leather is also stamped "A" and numbered "3321". The fastening strap on the sheath is fragile and appears to have been reapplied back to the sheath with a resin glue. The stitching is mostly intact with some stitching loss on the loop part of the sheath. Additionally on the back of the loop there is a hole in the leather.Specifications
