SOLD - Winchester 1917 Trench Shotgun Bayonet (022824-1)

5/10/24 - This is an original 1917 Winchester bayonet. These bayonets are desirable as they're often paired with M97 and M12 Trench Shotguns. They also fit on most Enfield and M1903 rifles as well. This example is in great condition with a very nice blade. The blade edge is clean with only some very light surface oxidation in small areas. The base of the blade is US stamped with a flaming bomb ordnance proof on one side, and Winchester maker stamped with a 1917 date on the other. The crossguard and pommel have typical surface patina and edge wear / finish loss, but no excessive damage. The pommel is stamped with a unit number marking of some kind. The wood handles are excellent with no cracks or chips. Comes with a dark olive green painted scabbard, slightly wrinkled and aged throughout. Nice leather body and metal mouth and tip.
