Description
11/19/24 - This is a great example of a WW1 Era Spanish Model 1907 Puerto-Seguro Cavalry Saber. These sabers were among the last to be created by the Spanish military for horse mounted cavalry, as the advent of modern war and the trenches of WW1 saw the end of the cavalry charges. This sword sports a straight blade that is in great condition and maintains almost all of it's original finish. The blade has the standard "T" shape reinforced spine, this reinforcement allowed the blades to be less prone to snapping from use. The blade on this sword has no signs of sharpening and is marked "Toledo". The half-basket handle has the engraving of the Spanish crown over the regalia of the cavalry. The handle on this blade is intact and has no major chips or cracks. The scabbard is also in great shape, with only a few minor dents and wear from age. Neither of which are impacting the use and functionality of the scabbard.Specifications
