SOLD - M40 Double Decal Heer Army Helmet

4/12/23 - This is an original WW2 German Army M40 helmet. The helmet has two exterior decals. The Army Eagle decal is missing a portion of the upper left corner, but is in about 90% condition. The shield logo has dark patina throughout and is about 70% intact. The shell exterior has mild surface rust and dark patina throughout, but most of the wear is found on the front brim and top crown of the exterior. The original paint is still intact and mixed within the wear. No dents and all original rivets intact. The interior shell is excellent and very clean, a stark contrast to the wear on the exterior. The interior crown still shows a faint maker ink stamp. The back brim of the interior shell is maker and size stamped, "Q 64" along with a lot number, which appears to be "N 634" but this is faint and hard to read. The leather chinstrap is original and in great condition. The leather liner however, is a high quality reproduction. Excellent condition. Priced accordingly.
