10/29/19 - This is a 1962 "archive copy" of a 1940 P.38 pistol manual. Originally we thought this was an original 1940 production manual, but upon further inspection the interior of the back cover is ink stamped "Archivexemplar 1962" which means archive copy. The pages are all excellent and in tact but the staples are rusted and the bottom staple is not connected to the cover / binding which doesn't affect the overall page turning too much.
